Food related sensitivities and intolerances are affecting a growing number of individuals. It is estimated that over 70% of the world population is somehow experiencing these, and this number keeps growing day by day. The absence of any of the “big 8” food allergens in our products makes them particularly attractive to those who have or gluten intolerances.
Whole-grain rice, the main ingredient used in our products, is rich in many nutritional compounds such as carbohydrates, proteins, dietary fibers, vitamins, minerals, common and special amino-acids, which include GABA, or γ-aminobutiric acid. In addiction, Ferulic acid and its esters, phytosterols (γ-oryzanole) and phenolic antioxidants seem to play an important role in maintaining human health.
Our products are 100% plantbased and their production does not involve any kind of deforestation, excessive water consumption or harm to animals; in other words they help maintain world health, too!
It is commonly accepted that the cattle industry is responsible for:
– 51% of the total greenhouse gas emissions (especially Methane which has an even worse thermal effect compared to Carbon dioxide)
– 91% of the Amazon deforestation
– The extinction of over 100 species of animals per day
– Water pollution
– 50% of the total amount of cereals produced to be used as cattle feed (which could have been used to alleviate famine, instead!)
In contrast, a vegan diet requires 16 times less land usage, 13 times less water, 11 times less petrol and produces 50% less CO2 emissions.
